From what I've read breastfeeding has the greatest benefit until the child is 1 or 2. After that, they have pretty much received all the immunity and protection that they can. Breastfeeding until 3 or 4 is not really going to benefit the child nutritionally and may actually have a negative effect because at that age they need a lot more than what ****** milk can provide and may cause the child to take in less of what they really need.

I ****** fed my children and they have all been fairly healthy - all three of them have never had an ear infection, and the oldest two never had an antibiotic until they were in their teens.

Having said that, some children will have allergies whether you ****** feed them or not, HOWEVER, food allergies are less likely because your ****** fed baby is getting human milk, not modified cow's milk, and that is better for baby.

I looked it up, since my kids have allergies (seasonal versus food) so was curious. This one was good

While Im all for that, I will admit its pretty ambitious to go until 3 or 4.
