I think it’s a great idea and support like yours often makes a difference for breastfeeding moms. For items in the basket:
-”The Nursing Mother’s Handbook” or some other high rated nursing book- check amazon.com for reviews
-Boppy pillow and extra cover
-Lansinoh ointment
-Washable nursing pads
-Nice soft burping cloth
You can also get creative and throw in a couple things just for her like some tea, a u-shaped neck pillow and some tasty snacks depending on how far you want to go.

Well, the things your husband brought you before are all very good things. In addition to this maybe you would like to include a breastfeeding sling or pillow such as the boppy or an extra case for her boppy if she has one. Madella products are the best and they have those sanitizing baskets for the pieces of the ****** pump. The hospital will give her those helpful ****** feeding books that teach about the different kinds of holds and helpful tips so I wouldn’t worry about any books but I think you have everything else covered.

A pillow, a certificate for a massage (always nice after baby), some candles, a cd of relaxing music or sounds, a nursing wrap or soft blanket.

That is a wonderful thoughtful idea! Well, any of the items you’ve just mentioned would be great. Also, you might consider a Boppy pillow; many women find them to be a huge asset when nursing (although for me, not so much). Perhaps an organization container/tray for the bags of ****** milk, so she won’t have loose bags all over her freezer. What about a nice nursing bra or tank? That’s all I can think of now. Good luck putting this gift basket together. You have lucky friend.

I think it’s a lovely idea! I breastfed both my children, and had very little support from friends/family, so it makes me smile to know there are people out there who are so supportive
I would say ****** pads are a definite necessity. My husband bought me a ‘V’ shaped pillow when I was pregnant, and I found it was equally useful when breastfeeding, especially when you need to prop baby up just that little bit.
Best of luck to your friend – and congratulations! she must be over the moon!

That’s very kind and nice of you.
She will need for sure nursing pads, extra pillows, nice and comfy bra / cami, and must of all tons of patience.
Make sure she knows you are going to be there for her when she needs to cry, talk, have an advise or simply take a long shower. She needs to be hydrated and relaxed to produce milk.

All the supplies you mentioned above are basically what I needed to ****** feed. There is nothing inappropriate about giving someone a ****** feeding basket–our society has taught us that it’s so taboo but I think what you’re giving your friend is awesome! I say plenty of ****** pads and storage bags–also buy the ****** milk storage container that you can pop in the freezer-it’s awesome. Maybe even a manual ****** pump-they have one that’s about $30, and an electric/battery operated one that goes for about $60 I believe (by Medela). That came in handy for me.

What a wonderful gift! You’re a great friend.
To the ideas above, I might add a copy of “So That’s What They’re For” by Janet Tamaro. It’s good information in a funny, well-written format. I might add Soothies, as well- they’re great for soreness. They have them in most drugstores.
Some bottles of water and healthy snacks might be good additions, too.

Go to Amazon.com and find a breastfeeding book, or even a book about raising a child the first year, some ****** pads ( I found the best ones to be Lansinoh), ****** cream, storage bags, a pump, maybe a boppy pillow which makes it easier to breastfeed, and some bottles (Advent ones are pretty good for ****** fed babies).
I think your idea is very thoughtful. I would have loved it if someone had done this for me.
